Jennifer Lopez was stunned in this bold dress by David Koma. The talented beauty’s minidress featured long sleeves, a high-neck and bodice bottom and a tie-up detail over the skirt, which also featured sparkly embellishments. Her clear heels and wavy long hairstyle solidified the look into a serious win — and one of her best looks of late!

Camila Cabello wore a stunning color combination of pink and red in this Alexis Mabille confection. From the strapless bodice in hot pink to the double-hued oversized bow detail that starts at the waist and cascades over the ruby red skirt, we loved every part of this glam gown. Look ahead to know more about her beauty and jewellery…
Camila Cabello added some funky mismatched earrings from Katkim to the mix and kept things cool with hot pink eye makeup and a pink lip to complete her fab VMAs look.
The styling of Shawn Mendes’ crisp all-white men’s suit left a lot to be desired. The star coordinated a fitted white blazer and baggy trousers with a very low cut silk tank top by Judy Turner. And when it came to adding shoes, she ruined her monochromatic look with black loafers.
Machine Gun Kelly stood out among the men at the VMAs—and not just because she wore a shirt under her blazer (more on that later)! The singer’s bright red printed Dolce & Gabbana suit matched the carpet and paired with perfectly black boots, the almost wild look was picked up by rival Megan Fox…
This was a very bold (and barely there) Mugler design for Megan Fox! The beauty sported this almost completely sheer spaghetti-strapped slip dress with some lining at the neckline… and nowhere else. Look ahead…
Megan Fox’s wispy Mugler pick showed off equally minimal undergarments and midi-lengths all the way down to the hemline. She paired the look with muted gold strappy sandals for a major bold fashion moment.
next? A not so bold fashion moment. We were seriously overwhelmed by rising star Olivia Rodrigo’s VMA pick. Her strapless and fitted Versace gown featured a combo of deep pink and coral for a pretty, but forgettable pairing. next? A better look at her jewelry and makeup…
Olivia Rodrigo accessorised her pink and orange Versace number with equally inconspicuous jewelry—these glittery butterfly drop earrings.
Lil Nas X rocked custom Versace at the VMAs. His pale purple design resembled a pantsuit on the one hand, but told a different story on the other…
From another angle, Lil Nas X’s Versace getup looked like a ballgown—with a low neckline. next? Watch it from the front!
The front view shows just how confusing Lil Nas X’s Versace number really was — part pantsuit, part cape detail that could have passed for a ballgown. And though we loved the shade — and the perfectly matched shoes — the crazy silhouette made a miss.
Ciara cemented herself as one of the night’s best dressed stars – in this phenomenal black lace Tom Ford creation. The long-sleeved dress featured a daring cutout under the bodice and a floor-length skirt that folded down to add an extra infusion of drama.
Paris Hilton looked futuristic in dazzling silver in this Richard Quinn minidress. The long-sleeved frock started with a high neckline and structured sleeves, but it lost us with its quirky super short and asymmetrical hemline. The star added even more silver with pointed toe pumps.
recognize this man? We almost didn’t! Turns out Nick Cannon decided to hide behind sunglasses and carry a red solo cup to accessorize his weird VMA outfit — a silver cropped tank top, baggy white pants and sparkly gold boots.
Billie Eilish surprisingly dabbled for the VMAs. The star, known for her unique red carpet looks, incorporated chunky boots into the mix instead of a black sweater over a midi-length black lace dress, and embraced a minimalist (and comfortable!) style.
Tinashe opted for a funky fit on the red carpet at the VMAs. The singer sported this cropped black top with low-waisted brown leather pants with a jagged edge, which included some very intense black lace-up detailing. She accessorised the busy outfit with even more busy accessories, which we’ll see next…
Tinashe added layers upon layers of necklaces to her wild look, cementing the look as a messy miss.
Putting it down for men? Ed Sheeran, who looked sharp in a Versace tuxedo jacket! The musician rocked a classic baroque print from the fashion house, and paired it with a black shirt with embroidery on the collar, black pants and dress shoes for an all-around dapper look.
It was a black and white Louis Vuitton jumpsuit by Alicia Keys. The star stepped out on the red carpet in this cover-up getup with dramatic black and white ruffled sleeves and looked like there were shoes made in the dress.
No one can call Rita Ora’s Vera Wang look boring! The star arrived in this quirky cutout design, which she paired with a long cape and dramatic thigh-high boots. But her weird outfit wasn’t the weirdest element of her VMAs outfit…
Rita Ora found a surprising place to add some jewelry – her teeth! The star rocked a quirky knotted hairstyle to complete her funky VMAs look.
Another pair of leather pants we weren’t crazy about? A dazzling slim version of Jameela Mustafa, which she paired with a strapless flower patterned top with a sweetheart neckline and tie detail at the waist. And although we weren’t fans of the dress, we did love those sandals with dazzling bow details.
Here’s a new twist on menswear — Jaden Hosler rocked his gray suit sans undershirt at the VMAs. She added chunky black boots to her unconventional red carpet look.
Another man who decided not to wear a shirt! Musician The Kid Laroi neglected to add a T-shirt under his all other leather getup—a leather jacket and skinny leather pants. She ended things with another fashion faux pas: Converse sneakers on the red carpet.
It wasn’t just the men choosing the minimal shirt under jacket at the VMAs. Avril Lavigne posed in this lovely pink plaid suit, clutching a silver Jimmy Choo bag. Although we liked her bright and cheery coordinates, her choice to wear that beaded Kristalia top left us stunned. And she finished things off with dramatic chunky black Stuart Weitzman heels we couldn’t even do without.
A menswear fashion risk that paid off? Troy Sivan’s head to toe Fendi! The singer’s cropped blazer and shorts matched perfectly with high socks and dress shoes for an impossibly cool combination.
Shay Mitchell looked gorgeous in red at the VMAs! The beauty’s structured minidress featured a dazzling all-over print and was styled perfectly with strappy bronze sandals and some statement earrings. Check them out further…
Shay Mitchell added some serious statement earrings to her VMAs getup – these funky gold drop earrings.
TikTok star Bella Porch certainly made a statement at her first VMAs. She chose a very over-the-top black lace jumpsuit and dramatic cape detailing that included a train that followed her on the red carpet.
Hope arrived in this barely-there black frock that featured lots of straps, a halter-style neckline, and a half-skirt. Unique Michael Costello design made for a perfect fashion moment in the wild event.
There was barely any shortage of black dresses at the VMAs! Charli XCX also joined the trend – choosing this minidress with sheer paneling, lots of lace and cutouts and messy fringe hanging from the hemline. We weren’t fans of frocks, but the pointy-toed Christian Louboutin she added to the mix.
pretty in Pink! Madison Beer wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock with spaghetti straps in a palace of pink, a corset-style bodice and a sky high slit that dates from 2003 and was once worn by Beyoncé — when Madison was only four years old. Was!
The over-the-top fashion continued with Doja Kat, who opted for this quirky Vivienne Westwood outfit. The barely there purple and black minidress would have been a fashion miss in itself, but she takes it to the next level when it comes to accessorizing. From those awkward thigh-high red tights she wore under platform lace-up heels to chunky jewelry and dramatic makeup (which we’ll see next), we weren’t feeling any elements of this ensemble.
Dramatic purple eyeshadow, mauve lips, and chunky mismatched jewelry cemented Doja Kat’s look as a fashion disaster.
When compared to the bold look on the rest of the carpet, Debi Ryan’s LBD was downright boring! The star accessorised in this minidress with a ruffled neckline and straps and added knee-high boots for a snoozy combination on such a crazy night out.
What’s going on here, Normani? The singer arrived at the VMAs in these all-white coordinates by Patrycja Pagas—a cropped dramatic blazer without a shirt and a short and strategically placed miniskirt. White pointy toe pumps completed this awkward getup.
We’re not quite sure what’s going on here, but we know we don’t like it. Someone named Kim Petras wore a black mask (or full bodysuit?) under a floral minidress at the VMAs.
Charli D’Amelio channeled the ’90s in this set of pink coordinates. The TikTok star rocked a cropped tank and matching skirt by Eliet with strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals in the same bubblegum shade, then included a black choker and bear-shaped clutch.
Nessa sported this cute black frock with spaghetti stripes, a fitted bodice, and a sweet tiered tulle skirt. She paired it with simple black sandals and the simplicity was an unexpected breath of fresh air on the crazy carpet!
